Description

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Pricing Analyst - VRM to join our team in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fast-paced role where you will own an increasingly complex portfolio of manufacturers with responsibility for delivering commercial value-add in remarketing vehicles through our core sales channel 'mfldirect'. A typical day includes sourcing and assessing model prices, making amendments to prices through our proprietary pricing application, and using a wide range of reporting sources to track and act on conversion outcomes. As you develop your skills, you will own an improvement area for overall team capabilities, such as standardising operational processes, developing new pricing insights, specifying technical changes, or supporting commercial campaigns.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Working collaboratively with other Pricing Analysts to ensure the timely delivery of regular pricing processes across mfldirect sales channels.
  2. Serving as Subject Matter Expert for a portfolio of manufacturers, reviewing MI reports to make pricing decisions based on market conditions, supply, and demand.
  3. Defining and managing KPIs for your portfolio to help assess pricing performance and identify priority actions.
  4. Supporting targeted campaigns where data indicates opportunities for pricing optimization.
  5. Ensuring good governance of pricing outcomes through peer reviews of colleague decisions.
  6. Managing pricing reference data, such as model prices and targeted pricing overlays.
  7. Supporting technical development and system changes, including specifying requirements and user testing.
Qualifications
  • Highly productive, organized, and methodical, bringing structure to tasks for efficient execution.
  • Effective team player, capable of working collaboratively and challenging constructively.
  • Resilient, with experience working amidst ambiguity.
  • Results-oriented with excellent commercial acumen.
  • Proactive, deadline-driven, and able to manage a complex daily workload.
  • Analytical with problem-solving skills, understanding how data informs pricing decisions to maximize sales value and efficiency.
  • Enthusiastic to learn and contribute to the Pricing team’s advancement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, capable of communicating complex topics to diverse audiences, including MI and technical teams.
Minimum Criteria
  • Experience in a complex pricing environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work across various data sources and reports.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and in a matrix environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Excel, data governance, and data analysis/visualization skills.
  • First degree or equivalent, with a numerate subject area.
