About The Role

Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Pricing Analyst - VRM to join our team in Bristol on a full-time, permanent basis.This is a fast-paced role where you will own an increasingly complex portfolio of manufacturers with responsibility for delivering commercial value-add in remarketing vehicles through our core sales channel ‘mfldirect’. A typical day includes sourcing and assessing model prices, making amendments to prices through our proprietary pricing application and using a wide range of reporting sources to track and act on conversion outcomes. As you develop your skills you will own an improvement area for overall team capabilities, for example standardising operational processes, developing new Pricing insights, specifying technical changes or supporting commercial campaigns.
Main responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively with other Pricing Analysts to ensure the timely delivery of regular pricing processes. These could be daily, weekly or monthly and across mfldirect sales channels.
  • Subject Matter Expert for portfolio of manufacturers, reviewing MI reports to make pricing decisions dependent on market conditions the supply of and demand for vehicles.
  • Defining and managing KPIs for your portfolio to help assess pricing performance and any priority actions to achieve Pricing metrics.
  • Supporting targeted campaigns where data is indicating there may be opportunity for further pricing optimisation.
  • Ensuring good governance of pricing outcomes with peer reviews of colleague pricing decisions.
  • Regular management of pricing reference data, for example model prices and targeted pricing adjustment overlays.
  • Supporting technical development and systems changes including specifying requirements and user testing.

  • Can-Do Attitude – Enthusiastic to learn and help move the Pricing team forward
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and able to communicate complex topics to different audiences including MI and technical teams
Minimum criteria:
  • Pricing experience - Previous experience in a complex pricing-related work environment
  • Data and Analytics - Possess excellent analytical and critical thinking skills for commercial decisions, for example understanding conversion, pipeline and forecasts. Able to work across different data sources and reports to identify insights and required actions.
  • Collaborative - proven ability to work effectively within a team directly and matrix managed, demonstrating qualities such as effective communication and motivation
  • Good basic knowledge of Excel, basic data governance and understanding of how data can be analysed and visualised to make it actionable
  • Educated to first degree standard or equivalent. Subject area must have a high numerate content.
