BMI UK&I has an exciting permanent opportunity for a Pricing Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Commercial & Pricing Strategy Manager, this role is based in Milton Keynes.

Role Summary

This role plays a critical part in helping BMI optimise its pricing models to maintain competitiveness whilst ensuring profitability. As the Pricing Analyst, you will help with maintaining customer pricing within the system and managing pricing strategies. You will analyze sales and competitor data to provide reports for the sales, marketing, and finance teams. Additionally, you will support in analyzing price change performance to make recommendations for future pricing adjustments to improve overall margin. The role is key in providing accurate, data-driven, and meaningful insights to support commercial decisions and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintain and update customer pricing, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for relevant stakeholders.
2. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within pricing analytics, reporting, and data visualization.
3. Analyze price changes, track margins, and provide profitability recommendations.
4. Provide data-driven recommendations on pricing adjustments, discount structures, and incentives.
5. Support the sales team with accurate pricing analysis to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
6. Analyze project quotations to ensure alignment with company goals.
7. Generate and automate regular reports highlighting key pricing metrics.
8. Investigate and resolve pricing queries to prevent invoice issues.
9. Maintain documentation of pricing strategies and decisions for auditing.

Skills and Experience

1. Advanced Excel skills (formulas & VBA macros) or other BI tools for data manipulation and automation.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data.
3. Understanding of cost structures, profitability, and margin optimization.
4. Detail-oriented with commercial acumen to drive decisions and identify value opportunities.
5. Excellent organizational and communication skills for presenting findings.
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
7. Experience in pricing, commercial, or financial analysis.
8. Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems (desirable).
9. Degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, or economics (desirable).
10. Familiarity with CRM systems (desirable).
