Job purpose:
To support the Global Pricing Manager in driving effective pricing strategies that contribute to the profitability and sustainable growth of the business. This role is critical in ensuring pricing accuracy, governance, and the continuous enhancement of pricing processes and tools across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Global Pricing Manager to support pricing actions that improve profitability while maintaining competitive market positioning.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of client proposals and support pricing negotiations to ensure value-driven outcomes for STEM and its clients.
- Manage and respond to incoming queries via the global pricing inbox, providing accurate and timely pricing guidance to stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Support the pricing component of contract and bid development processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives, margin expectations, and commercial strategy.
- Maintain and enhance the end-to-end pricing workflow to improve operational efficiency and scalability, including documentation, process optimization, and automation opportunities.
- Work closely with Project Directors and the Global Client Partnership team to deliver cohesive, data-informed pricing strategies that support integrated and profitable client engagements.
- Support the process of renewing Global Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
- Conduct post-project cost analyses, comparing actual costs against budgeted pricing, and identify key trends or deviations to inform future pricing models.
- Handle ad hoc requests as needed.
- Require 1–2 years’ experience in a pricing or commercial finance role, ideally within professional services, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or consultancy sectors.
- Have a solid understanding of how pricing strategies impact profitability, margin performance, and client value delivery.
- Be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at various levels of seniority across global teams.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work with limited supervision.
- Be proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow within a dynamic pricing environment.
- Exhibit strong time-management skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience working with or supporting contract pricing models, financial proposals, or strategic bids is highly desirable.
