Portfolio Pricing Analyst (Portfolio Management) - Home

Location: The role is hybrid and requires you to be commutable to either Manchester or London.

Role Overview

We have an exciting new role available for a Portfolio Pricing Analyst within our rapidly growing personal lines underwriting team. It’s a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career with a fast-growing company and influence our pricing models.

As a Pricing Analyst, your key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring our portfolio and delivering innovative pricing solutions
• Using predictive analytics and commercial insight to identify trends and pricing actions
• Supporting product profitability by balancing volume and profitability to meet loss ratio targets

The Pricing portfolio management team develops new modeling techniques and maintains risk models that underpin our rates, especially in aggregator channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing a performance monitoring framework
• Contributing to the pricing cycle, including tactical initiatives, price optimization, and analytics
• Collaborating with Underwriting on risk appetite, product development, and market insights
• Working with the Technical Modelling team on peril risk cost models and product performance dynamics
• Delivering the pricing roadmap aligned with company goals

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience in Personal Lines Pricing is advantageous
• Knowledge of predictive modeling techniques (e.g., Logistic Regression, GBMs, Decision Trees, Neural Nets)
• Proficiency in statistical and data science languages (R, Python, SAS, SQL)
• A quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, etc.)
• Experience with WTW’s Radar and Emblem software is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
