Job summary

Right Now Group is recruiting a Pricing Agent for our client, a global logistics and transport business specialising in road freight. This role suits someone with road freight forwarding experience who can price time-critical dedicated movements and build supplier relationships across the UK and Europe.

Based in the UK, you will source competitive rates, provide fast quotations, and work closely with customers and the operations team to keep pricing competitive.

Qualifications

• Previous pricing experience within freight forwarding or road transport preferred.
• Experience with dedicated, same-day transport is advantageous.
• Knowledge of UK/European lanes helpful.
• Strong commercial awareness for negotiating rates.
• Excellent communicator with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Price dedicated, same day movements across the UK and Europe.
• Source and negotiate competitive rates with hauliers and third-party transport providers.
• Sell and price the company's dedicated, same day solutions to both existing and prospective customers.
• Build and maintain a network of suppliers and dedicated, same day contacts.
• Communicate pricing and transport requirements with customers, suppliers and operations teams.
• Understand customer requirements, including routes, transit times and service expectations.
• Provide fast and accurate quotations for time-critical movements.
• Develop knowledge of key dedicated lanes, including UK and Europe.
• Support development and growth of the dedicated, same day offering.
• Collaborate with the team to keep pricing commercially competitive.

Right Now Group are recruiting for a Pricing Agent on behalf of our client, an established international logistics and transport business who specialise in road freight movements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a road freight freight forwarding background who understands the dedicated, same day delivery market and is confident obtaining competitive rates, building relationships with suppliers and pricing time‑critical dedicated movements.

Key Responsibilities of a Pricing Agent:

• Price dedicated, same day movements across the UK and Europe.
• Source and negotiate competitive rates with hauliers and third-party transport providers.
• Sell and price the company's dedicated, same day solutions to both existing and prospective customers.
• Build and maintain a strong network of suppliers and dedicated, same day contacts.
• Communicate regularly with customers, suppliers and the wider operations team regarding pricing and transport requirements.
• Understand specific customer requirements, including routes, transit times and service expectations.
• Provide fast and accurate quotations for time‑critical and dedicated movements.
• Develop knowledge of key dedicated, same day lanes, including UK, European and Ireland movements.
• Support the continued development and growth of the company's dedicated, same day offering.
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure pricing remains commercially competitive.

The Successful Pricing Agent:

• Ideally have previous experience within freight forwarding, transport or logistics and ideally within road freight.
• Dedicated, same day transport experience would be highly advantageous.
• Previous pricing experience within freight forwarding or road transport would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of the dedicated, same day market, suppliers and key European lanes would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to negotiate rates.
• Excellent communication skills and comfortable building relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Confident working within a fast‑paced environment where quotations often need to be turned around quickly.
• Strong numerical skills and comfortable calculating rates and transit times.
• Proactive and keen to develop their knowledge of the dedicated, same day market.

Additional Details:

• Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
• Hours: 08:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday
• Full‑time, permanent position
