Job summary

British Horological Institute Limited in London’s Farringdon workshop is seeking a Junior Watchmaker / Senior Watch Technician to join a professional luxury environment. The role involves high-value casing work, diagnostics, and servicing on prestige timepieces from leading brands.

You will perform de-casing/re-casing, timekeeping regulation, diagnostics, warranty assessments, and maintain precise service records in a fast-growing, high-end setting.

Qualifications

• WOSTEP/BHI certification or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on watchmaking or technician experience.
• Strong understanding of luxury case construction and mechanical/quartz movements.
• 5 GCSEs (A-C) and right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• De-casing and re-casing prestige and high-complication watches.
• Technical interventions including timekeeping regulation, hand re-alignment, automatic module servicing, bezel re-alignment, battery replacements and resealing, escapement cleaning.
• Diagnostics across mechanical and quartz watches.
• Diagnose and assess warranty repairs.
• Ensure work complies with brand and workshop standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and support workshop efficiency.
