OA Group is seeking a Press Brake Operator in Buntingford. The role involves setting up and operating press brake machinery, programming from drawings, selecting tooling, and ensuring accurate bends and tolerances.

You will load materials safely, perform test bends and respond to machine alarms. Applicants should have 1–3 years of hands-on sheet metal fabrication experience, be proficient with measuring tools, and familiar with CNC programming interfaces.

Qualificações

• Experience setting up and operating press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering specifications.
• 1–3 years hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of press brake tooling, bend allowances and material behaviour.
• Competent use of measuring equipment (calipers, angle gauges, protractors).
• Experience with CNC press brake programming interfaces; CAM/offline programming beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate press brake machinery per job specs and production needs.
• Program machine settings, bend sequences and backgauge positions from technical drawings.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, punches and dies for each job.
• Load and position sheet metal materials safely and accurately.
• Perform test bends and adjust for correct angles, dimensions and tolerances.
• Monitor machine performance and respond to alarms or irregularities.
