Job summary

Wright Staff Recruitment Ltd in Pershore is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to set up and run production on an Amada Brake Press, producing parts from technical drawings. You will ensure tolerances, safety, and efficiency during every shift.

This full-time role requires hands-on experience with Brake Press equipment, the ability to read drawings, and good teamwork to meet production goals at our Worcestershire site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year setting and operating an Amada Brake Press.
• Minimum 1 year forming various sizes and thickness of blanks.
• Ability to measure each job using Vernier calipers.
• Ability to load and unload material.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to learn new skills and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run production jobs, ensuring safety, accuracy, and timely completion.
• Operate a Brake Press (Amada) to produce parts per technical drawings.
• Verify machine settings to meet tolerances and check machine function.
• Maintain cleanliness of the machine and surrounding area.
• Complete all required safety procedures during operations.
• Organise the work area before and after processing parts.

Job description

All set-ups and production runs, ensuring safety, accuracy and timelines of all jobs, machines and equipment in the folding area.

The role will be to set and operate a Brake Press (Amada) to produce parts to technical drawings and instructions

Verify accuracy of machine settings to confirm accurate tolerances and machine functions

Maintain cleanliness of the machine

Completes all required safety procedures prior to and during operations

Skilled in organizing work area before and after parts are processed

Essential experience

• Minimum 1 year experience setting and operating Amada Brake Press
• Minimum 1 year experience of forming various sizes & thickness of blanks
• Ability to measure each job using Vernier's
• Ability to load and unload material
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to learn new skills and technologies
