Job summary

Engineering and Manufacturing Business is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join its production team. You will set up and operate press brake machinery to manufacture components according to engineering drawings and production requirements.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, selecting tooling, measuring finished parts, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Opportunity to train in forklift operation is available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake machinery in line with job specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders and technical instructions.
• Select the correct tooling and machine settings for each job.
• Measure and inspect finished components to ensure tolerances and quality standards.
• Carry out first-off and in-process quality checks.
• Adjust machine settings as required to maintain product quality.
• Handle materials and finished components safely and efficiently.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and report any faults promptly.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Keep the work area clean, tidy and organised.
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and manufacturing processes.
• Work to production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
• Operate a forklift where required; training can be provided.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience setting and operating press brake machinery within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Any experience with Amada machinery would be highly advantageous.
