The Role of the Press Brake Operator
The Pres Brake Operator will be responsible for operating press brake and laser cutting machinery within a manufacturing environment, producing high-quality components to specification.
- Setting and operating CNC press brake machinery
- Operating laser cutting equipment
- Producing components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Carrying out routine machine checks and basic maintenance
- Working closely with the production team to meet deadlines
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
Requirements of the Press Brake Operator
- Experience setting, operating and programming press brake machinery
- Experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Experience operating laser cutting equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Able to use measuring equipment such as verniers and gauges
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Reliable with good timekeeping and a proactive attitude
