Job summary

Kenect Recruitment is seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator in Chesterfield for a permanent day shift. You will assemble sheet metal components and operate CNC machinery, reading engineering drawings and applying basic math for precise measurements.

Experience with Bystronic preferred; other brands considered with training. Must be able to use protractors, verniers, and height gauges to ensure quality and tolerances.

Job Type: CNC Press Brake Operator

Start Date: ASAP

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 16:30

Pay Rate: £15per hour

Kenect Recruitment are currently working in partnership with our long standing client based in Chesterfield, who are currently recruiting for a number of Press Brake Operators to work on a permanent day shift, on a full time basis.

What will I be doing?

• Assembly of sheet metal components
• Utilize your mechanical knowledge and expertise in hand tools and tooling to operate CNC machinery effectively
• Apply basic math skills for measurements and adjustments
• Working with thin gauge materials typically between 0.9mm to 10mm mild, stainless steel and aluminium, from engineering drawings
• Qaulity checking
• Ability to read engineering drawings with a high attention to detail and work to the stated tolerances
• Must be able to use digital and analogue protractors
• Must be able to use verniers and height gauges

What do I need to know?

• Bystronic experience preferred but Trumpf, Amada, LVD etc will be considered with training provided
• Operate CNC press brake machinery to bend and shape sheet metal according to specifications
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Perform fabrication tasks, including grinding to ensure high-quality production.
• Use hand tools and tooling effectively for assembly and adjustments.
• Apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations during the manufacturing process.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Previous 1 year experience in Press Brake Operating
