Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a CNC Press Brake Operator to join the Derby team. You will set up and operate Bystronic/TRUMPF CNC Press Brake machines on a 4 on / 4 off cycle, ensuring components meet customer specifications and tolerances.

Candidate should have at least 3 years’ experience in CNC press brakes, read engineering drawings, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment focused on quality. A strong eye for detail and commitment to continuous improvement are desirable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating and setting CNC Press Brake machines (Bystronic or TRUMPF).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Press Brake machines for a range of batch sizes.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.
• Select tooling and configure machine settings to ensure accuracy.
• Produce formed sheet metal components to required specifications and tolerances.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Adjust programmes and machine parameters to maintain accuracy.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet delivery targets.
• Adhere to safety and quality procedures.

Our client is looking for a CNC Press Brake Operator to join their team in Derby.

With recent upgrades to equipment and technology, this is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly skilled team producing quality fabricated components across a variety of industry sectors.

The Opportunity

My client is open to someone looking to work on a Day Shift or Night Shift on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brake machinery, ensuring components are manufactured accurately and efficiently to customer specifications.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working within a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in producing quality work.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• The Press Brake Operator will set and operate Bystronic and TRUMPF CNC Press Brake machinery for a range of batch sizes.


• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing instructions.


• Select appropriate tooling and configure machine settings.


• Produce formed sheet metal components to required specifications and tolerances.


• Carry out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.


• Adjust programmes and machine parameters where necessary to maintain accuracy.


• Collaborate with production and quality teams to achieve delivery targets.


• Ensure all work is completed in line with company safety and quality procedures.

About You

We are interested in speaking with candidates who have:

• The CNC Press Brake Operator must have at least 3 years’ experience operating and setting CNC Press Brake machines ideally Bystronic/ TRUMPF Machines


• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.


• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.


• Experience with Bystronic or TRUMPF machinery (advantageous but not essential).


• A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality.


• A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement activities.

What's In It For You?

• £32,500 - £36,000 basic salary


• 4 on / 4 off day shifts (6:00am - 6:00pm)
