Remote – up to 2/3 days per month in London/Client site

Digital Skills is working with a growing tech company that builds and provides tools and services to a range of end clients. The company specializes in designing, building, and continuously improving data-enabled products. We are currently recruiting for a Lead Pre-Sales Architect who will work within the Sales team and be responsible for leading the pre-sales technical activities to pursue new business and growth.

The organization focuses on the public sector and aims to leverage this market while expanding into private sectors such as Insurance, Financial Services, and Utilities.

A UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance is required for this role. If you do not hold SC clearance, we will support you in applying, assuming you have lived and worked in the UK for at least 5 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales technical engagement with clients, understanding their needs and designing tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with sales and account management teams to drive growth through technical expertise.
• Develop and present technical proposals, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs).
• Design and advise on data streaming architectures, focusing on platforms like Kafka.
• Provide architectural guidance, ensuring solutions align with industry best practices and customer needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding technology choices and implementations.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
• Support the transition from pre-sales to delivery, facilitating a smooth handover.
• Conduct workshops, technical training, and presentations for clients and internal teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Experience designing and scoping enterprise platforms and managed services, especially in cloud-native and streaming solutions.
• Strong background in solving enterprise data and analytics challenges with modern technology stacks.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including core services and DevOps practices.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or similar streaming platforms, including architecture design and integration.
• Experience working in sensitive data environments within the public sector, with cybersecurity considerations.
• Excellent written communication skills, especially in technical bids and proposals.
• Ability to engage with external stakeholders and build relationships to support business growth.
