Job summary

Vertu BMW Teesside Prep Centre is looking for a Prep Technician to carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new and used vehicles, ensuring quality and adherence to manufacturer guidelines and timeframes. The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3 in Automotive City & Guilds, current Vehicle Technician experience, a UK driving licence and their own tools; MOT licence is a plus.

• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician.
• MOT licence preferred but not essential.
• Your own set of tools.

Responsibilities

• Work to manufacturer guidelines and agreed timeframes.
• Maintain high productivity while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ensure quality workmanship and first-time fixes.

Join our team at Vertu BMW Teesside Prep Centre and become a valued Prep Technician!

We are offering a basic salary up to £36,900 depending on skills and experience. This is based on a 41 hour working week plus a bonus opportunity of up to £5,000.

Your role as a Vehicle Technician is crucial in delivering an exceptional customer experience, built on trust and honesty. As a Prep Technician you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI's) on new and used vehicles. You will ensure the PDI's are carried out to the highest possible standard and within manufacturer guidelines. You will need to work to agreed time frames, and maintain a high level of productivity, whilst ensuring exceptional customer service at all times. Quality workmanship and achieving first-time fixes are core values that guide everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

• A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
• Current experience as a Vehicle Technician
• MOT license preferred but not essential
• Your own set of tools
• A full UK driving licence
