Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Macclesfield is seeking a fully qualified Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join an award-winning independent automotive specialist. The role focuses on MOT testing, servicing and repairs across premium German and British brands with access to modern diagnostic equipment.

You will diagnose complex faults, work across VW Group vehicles and maintain high standards of workmanship in a supportive, experienced team environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – Essential.
• Valid MOT Tester licence – Essential.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle technology.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out MOT testing in line with DVSA standards.
• Completing servicing and maintenance across VAG vehicles.
• Diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Undertaking advanced diagnostic investigations.
• Carrying out engine, brake, suspension and drivetrain repairs.
• Working across Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda models.
• Using specialist diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship.
