  • Assist Mini-bus driving duties as driver or Escort.
  • Ensure the site is secure at the end of the day and assist the site manager.
  • Be prepared to undertake fire marshal training.
  • Support grounds maintenance and litter collection around the site.

Term time factor/hours per week: 25 Hours per week / term time only + 15 days – (Mon-Thur 13:00 – 18:00) & (Fri 09:00 – 16:30)

About the role

The postholder will be assisting the site manager in ensuring that the site and grounds are maintained in a safe, clean & orderly condition. The site assistant will undertake maintenance and repair work, following direction from the line manager & make sure repairs are properly and promptly carried out. The site assistant will ensure tasks such as porterage, administrative and letting duties are up to date and carried out.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Undertake repairs and maintenance tasks which are within her/his competence,
  • including replacing locks, the unblocking of sinks, drains and toilets.
  • Undertake cleaning duties as required, including clearing body fluid and vomit washing walls general cleaning as required.
  • Assist in the moving and replacing of furniture and equipment as required.
  • Assist in ensuring drains and gullies are kept free flowing and clean.
  • Shall undertake seasonal duties as required, for example, painting and decorating to be completed during school holidays.
  • Undertake Mini‑bus Driving Duties as Necessary as either driver or Escort
  • Undertake grounds maintenance/gardening and the collection of litter from around
  • the school site
  • Shall receive, and distribute deliveries following school policies and procedures
  • Assist in the building of furniture, the putting up of fencing and display boards, and the installation of equipment
  • Be responsible for ensuring the school is secured at the end of the day & be responsible for these procedures in the absence of the site manager
  • To undertake fire marshal training
