Job summary

Crook Log Primary School in England is seeking a practical assistant to support the Premises Manager with essential duties around security, heating and lighting, cleaning and porterage. The role may include handyman tasks such as painting and would require opening and locking the school site.

You will be contactable on site during working hours via a work walkie talkie and will report issues to the Premises Manager or Headteacher as they arise, helping to maintain a safe and well-run school

• Open and lock the school site.
• Report to the Premises Manager or Headteacher matters likely to affect work or any repairs or maintenance required.
• Handyman tasks including painting as needed.

Job description

To assist the Premises Manager in his/her recognised duties in respect of security of premises, heating and lighting, cleaning and porterage. This may include assisting the Premises Manager with ‘handyman’ tasks including painting.
