Job summary

Hawley Woods School, part of Kedleston Group, is seeking a Premises Assistant Apprentice to join the site team while working towards a Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship. This hands-on role offers practical experience in a specialist school environment and real training for a future career.

Working with the Site Maintenance team, you will help maintain the school, support events, and ensure a safe, clean, welcoming space for pupils, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Practical, hands-on approach
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Works well as part of a team
• Holds a full UK driving licence
• Interest in premises, facilities or property maintenance careers

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day maintenance, cleaning, security and upkeep of the school
• Assist with basic repairs and grounds maintenance
• Assist with health and safety checks
• Help set up rooms for events and ensure facilities are safe and welcoming
• Support the Site Maintenance team as needed
