Job summary

Premier London & Manchester consultancy is seeking an Associate or Associate Director Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join its Manchester office. The successful candidate will be Chartered with ICE and hold an MEng/MSc in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with extensive design, project and team leadership experience in UK consultancy.

They should have SuDS strategy development expertise and be proficient in underground drainage design, using MicroDrainage WinDes, Civil 3D and AutoCAD, aiming

Qualifications

• Chartered ICE member with UK-chartered status.
• MEng or MSc in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Extensive civil infrastructure design experience including project leadership and team management.
• Experience with SuDS design for major developments and underground drainage layouts.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil infrastructure design projects and mentor the team.
• Coordinate with architects and contractors to deliver on time and to budget.
• Drive business growth and Manchester office expansion toward Director-level.

Job description

Premier London & Manchester consultancy requires an Associate or Associate Director Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join the established set-up in the Manchester office.

Candidates will need to be a Chartered member of ICE, be educated to MEng/MSc-level in Civil or Environmental Engineering and will need to have gained extensive civil infrastructure engineering design, project and team-running and expanding experience in UK consultancy. They should have experience in developing SuDS strategies for major developments, as well as being skilled in the detailed design of below-ground drainage networks. Software skills also required are MicroDrainage WinDes, Civil 3D and AutoCAD. They should be looking to drive their career forward in a dynamic and young large consultancy in a fast-paced environment with clear scope to Director-level

Current workload is a mixture of both new-build and refurbishment developments, with project values up to £100million collaborating with good local Architects. Many of the consultancies’ London projects have been shortlisted/won both RIBA & IStructE awards, and they hope to develop the Manchester office in the same vein.
