Matchtech is seeking an Associate, Associate Director or Technical Director-level Civil Engineering professional to join its Manchester team on a permanent basis, focusing on infrastructure and highways, business development, client relationships and work winning across the Northern market.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of bids, fee proposals and tender submissions.
• Act as a key client-facing representative across the region.
• Provide strategic input into the growth and development of the Manchester civil engineering business.
• Mentor and support technical teams where required.

This strategically important role will focus on infrastructure and highways, with particular responsibility for business development, client relationship management and work winning across the Northern market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business development activities across the North West and wider Northern region
• Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Identify and secure new project opportunities within the infrastructure, highways and civil engineering sectors
• Support the preparation of bids, fee proposals and tender submissions
• Act as a key client-facing representative across the region
• Provide strategic input into the growth and development of the Manchester civil engineering business
• Mentor and support technical teams where required
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment
• Experience operating at Associate, Associate Director or Technical Director level, or readiness to progress into such a position
• Proven track record in business development, client relationship management and successful work winning
• Established network of clients, contacts and stakeholders across the Northern infrastructure or highways market
• Demonstrable ability to generate opportunities and convert relationships into secured work
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder engagement skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities
• Chartered status with ICE or an equivalent professional body is preferred, although highly experienced professionals will also be considered
