Job summary

Willmott Dixon in Hitchin (London & East region) is seeking a dynamic Preconstruction Assistant Project Manager to support two-stage/negotiated tenders valued from £15m to £75m across sectors. Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager, you will lead bid teams, coordinate internal and external resources, and help shape commercial strategy to deliver bids on time, within budget and to high quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction preconstruction stage is desirable.
• Ability to lead bid teams and coordinate stakeholders.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Motivating and supporting the leadership of a project bid team that includes internal estimators, design professionals, MEP professionals and planners and external supply chain/consultants.
• Working closely with your team to develop the commercial strategy on bids.
• Managing customers' expectations through health checks and maintaining good working relations.
• Developing and incorporating project strategies to achieve sustainability objectives.
• Ensuring regular monitoring and reporting on progress, managing risks and opportunities, and initiating corrective actions.
