Job summary

Catering in Bury seeks a Welder, Fabricator or Sheet Metal Worker to join a skilled fabrication team. You will manufacture precision components using TIG/MIG welding and sheet metal processes from detailed drawings, ensuring high-quality results.

The role offers 37 hours per week with early finish Fridays, regular overtime, and a competitive package including 25 days holiday and 6% pension. Time-served experience and Level 3 NVQ preferred; press brake and reading drawings skills are welcomed for

Qualifications

• Time-served experience in welding and fabrication.
• Level 3 NVQ qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Strong TIG and MIG welding skills.
• Experience working with stainless steel and sheet metal fabrication.
• Press brake and metal forming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• TIG and MIG welding of precision components.
• Sheet metal fabrication, folding, cutting and assembly.
• Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Producing high-quality equipment to exact standards.
• Collaborating with production and engineering teams to improve processes.
• Supporting servicing and maintenance activities when required.
• Ensuring all work meets quality and safety requirements.
