Job summary

Harwin in Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to ensure orders are picked, packed, and processed accurately while supporting daily warehouse operations. The role requires attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will undergo DBS and employment/reference checks, plus verification of employment gaps before working in a secure aviation area.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a warehouse or similar environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using computers and warehouse systems (ERP/WMS experience advantageous).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick customer orders using the Warehouse Management System.
• Pack goods in line with customer requirements and packing instructions.
• Support inventory control through stock checks and perpetual inventory activities.
• Put away stock safely and accurately as required.
• Work towards departmental targets and performance objectives.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and housekeeping.
• Support the wider warehouse team with additional duties as required.
• Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse processes.
