Job summary

GTS Group is seeking a hands-on Vehicle Assembly Technician to join a specialist vehicle conversion environment. You will fit and assemble interior and exterior components, ensuring high quality right-first-time work.

The role requires experience in vehicle assembly, automotive fitting or related fields, with good use of hand and power tools. Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–5:00pm, 38 hours per week, approximately £17.50 per hour, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly, automotive, manufacturing or workshop environments.
• Confidence using hand tools and power tools.
• Good attention to detail and a focus on quality.
• Practical, hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisation and time management.
• Reliable, proactive and positive approach to work.
• Strong commitment to producing right-first-time work.
• Automotive experience is advantageous, but candidates from other precision assembly backgrounds will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle assembly and fitting across interior and exterior components.
• Fit items including bumpers, carpets, door trims, interior fittings, glazing and other vehicle components.
• Use a range of hand tools, air tools and electrical power tools safely.
• Ensure all work meets required quality, presentation and production standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer delivery deadlines.
• Identify and report any quality, safety or production issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues while being capable of working independently.
• Follow all relevant Health & Safety and production procedures.
