Job summary

Mackworth Vehicle Conversions is seeking a Vehicle Assembler to join our production team. You will carry out the assembly and installation of components and conversion equipment to a high standard, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and customer specifications.

This role suits individuals with experience in vehicle assembly, manufacturing, coachbuilding, or related trades, with strong practical and mechanical skills and a willingness to learn in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Good practical and mechanical aptitude.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Previous experience in vehicle assembly, vehicle conversions, manufacturing, coachbuilding, carpentry, electrical installation, or similar technical roles.
• Experience working within an automotive or production environment.
• Understanding of vehicle electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit vehicle conversion components and systems.
• Install interior and exterior vehicle accessories.
• Work from engineering drawings, instructions, and specifications.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the assembly process.
• Ensure vehicles are completed to agreed production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team.
