Job summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of Toolmaker / Precision Machinist in Liss, Hampshire. This role requires a strong background in manual machining, underpinned by an apprenticeship in Toolmaking, General Engineering, or a related discipline.

You will work in a modern workshop focusing on automotive restoration and high-quality component manufacturing, with duties involving manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship completion in Toolmaking, General Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven experience in manual machining and toolroom practices.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.
• Produce precision components adhering to engineering drawings and tight tolerances.
• Perform inspection and quality checks on machined parts.
• Support assembly, modification, and quality control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
• Support continuous improvement and workshop efficiency.
