South West Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Permanent Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer based in Ferndown, Dorset. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy production team manufacturing high-quality components for demanding industries.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience using sheet metal machinery and hand tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and fabricating sheet metal components from engineering drawings.
• Cutting, folding, forming and assembling sheet metal parts.
• Operating a range of sheet metal machinery and hand tools.
• Carrying out drilling, tapping, countersinking and other finishing operations where required.
• Checking components against drawings and quality standards.
• Working with materials such as stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Collaborating with production and quality teams to meet deadlines.
