Job summary

Plus One Recruitment is seeking a Production Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Towcester. You will assemble and test specialist sensor products from detailed drawings, using soldering, crimping, potting and other techniques, with full training provided.

The role is office-based on a 35-hour week (Mon-Thu 8:00-16:00, Fri 8:00-13:00) in a rural Towcester site; a valid driving licence is required and you will contribute to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous production/manufacturing experience desirable.
• Hands-on precision assembly skills.
• Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.
• Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and production systems.
• Reliable, works well in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and manufacture sensor products using soldering, crimping, cable prep and potting.
• Perform fine soldering, wire cutting/stripping, crimping and connector insertion.
• Read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
• Apply conformal coatings and potting materials per procedures and PPE.
• Operate hand tools, potting applicators, and test equipment safely.
• Inspect, test and record completed products, including serial numbers.
• Complete production records, stock-taking, labeling and clocking in systems.
• Collaborate to meet production targets and contribute to improvements.
