Job summary

Forged Solutions Group in Blaenavon is seeking a Sawyer to ensure production schedules are met on shift and KPI targets are achieved. You will measure billets, select correct materials, mark items, and safely sling and move billets through saws.

The role requires practical problem solving, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines while promoting safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy manufacturing environments.
• Familiar with sawing special alloy materials.
• Computer literate for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Measure billets to correct dimensions and verify weights.
• Identify billets per works order and mark them accurately.
• Sling and move billets safely to/from machines.
• Set up saws and run programs for new products.
• Check speeds/feeds and adjust for blade life.
• Manage blade stock, maintenance fluids and shift reports.
