Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Quality Inspector to support the UK Quality function, performing visual and dimensional inspections and maintaining robust QA packs and traceability. You will work with machined, fabricated, assembled, and bought-in parts, ensuring documentation accuracy and escalation of issues to the Welding Engineer.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector or similar role.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using inspection tools and instruments.
• Ability to troubleshoot using basic problem-solving techniques.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment.
• Proficiency using MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, inspection requirements and project documentation.
• Carry out incoming inspection of bought-in parts, materials and components.
• Maintain traceability between purchase order, material certificate, part number, project and inspection record.
• Escalate defects and documentation issues to the Welding Engineer.
• Maintain certified material documentation in the ERP system.
• Capture labour hours in Epicor.
• Support Right First Time and quality improvement activities.
