Job summary

Scarab Sweepers Ltd is seeking a diligent powder coating and finishing technician to prepare, mask, wash, and blast components for coating. You will hang parts for priming, painting and baking, coat to Scarab standards, and ensure finished products meet high quality levels.

Role requires careful handling of components, adherence to PPE and H&S guidelines, and daily upkeep of equipment. Opportunities exist within a team-focused environment in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in powder coating or related surface finishing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and manage time effectively.
• Familiar with PPE and H&S policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fabricated parts for powder coating including washing and blasting.
• Mask threads and bored areas to protect from damage during shot blasting and coating.
• Operate blast and washing equipment to achieve a clean surface ready for paint.
• Hang components for priming, painting, powder coating and baking.
• Coat components in line with Scarab defined process and transfer to ovens for baking.
• Unload coated components and pack for delivery to production areas ensuring finish integrity.
• Monitor chemicals in the industrial washer and blast profiles daily.
• Perform 5S and housekeeping duties daily and weekly.
• Adhere to environmental policies, risk assessments and PPE regulations.
