HeliosX in Leamington Spa is seeking a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our Pharmacy team and ensure every prescription is checked accurately and safely before reaching patients. This hands-on role operates in a fast-paced online pharmacy environment, delivering precise checks and patient safety.

You will hold ACT qualification or Pharmacy Technician with ACT accreditation, be GPhC registered, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• ACT qualification or Pharmacy Technician with ACT accreditation.
• GPhC registration is required.
• Experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Strong attention to detail in regulated settings.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
• Proficient with IT systems and new software.
• Commitment to a collaborative workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines.
• Identify discrepancies or safety concerns.
• Check labelling, strength, expiry, patient details.
• Maintain records of checks per governance and audit.
• Report errors and near misses through incident channels.
• Support continuous improvement of dispensing processes.
• Work with pharmacists and dispensers to ensure safe workflow.
• Stay updated on SOPs, recalls, safety alerts.
• Ensure hygiene and organisation in the workspace.
