Job summary

IonQ is seeking a Technician for its Optical Manufacturing team to assist with parts control and sub-assembly assembly. You will work with engineers and scientists, supporting system builds and research projects for quantum computers.

You will demonstrate practical skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach in a high-precision lab. PPE experience and prior assembly work are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Practical technical skills in a similar environment with hands-on tasks.
• Experience following work instructions to complete advanced technical assembly tasks.
• Experience in an assembly environment requiring PPE and standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the optics team with system builds, upgrades and research projects.
• Provide hands-on support through optical, mechanical and electrical assembly.
• Maintain a tidy, safe lab and workshop environment and create technical documentation.
• Produce and maintain detailed technical records for projects.
