Job summary

HOYA Lens UK is seeking a reliable Production Operative to join the lens coating team. The role combines machine operation with manual tasks to support the production of high-quality optical lenses.

You will coat lenses, operate machines, inspect products for quality, and perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth production. Training is provided and you will work as part of a supportive team within a global optical technology leader.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Coating of optical lenses in line with quality standards
• Operating machinery (approximately 20% of the role)
• Performing manual tasks (approximately 80% of the role)
• Inspecting products to ensure quality and accuracy
• Completing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks
• Carrying out basic machine maintenance and calibration
• Performing daily equipment and process checks
• Understanding and working towards key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Complying with all company rules, procedures, and health & safety regulations

Shift patterns we are looking for include rotating Monday - Friday 10pm-6am and Tuesday- Saturday 6am-2pm.
