Job summary

Bec Recruitment.Co.Uk is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder for a 12-week temp-to-perm role in Braintree. The position offers a starting rate up to £10.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours at time and a half.

The role focuses on MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal components with precision, using hand and power tools in a manufacturing setting. Safety and accuracy are essential requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in MIG welding and general fabrication within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints to determine dimensions and welding requirements.
• NVQ welding and fabrication (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on various metals, ensuring safety and quality.
• Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal with hand and power tools.
• Read technical drawings/blueprints to determine weld requirements.
• Assist in assembling fabricated parts into finished products or structures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Inspect finished work for quality and make adjustments as needed to meet specs.
• Operate relevant machinery safely throughout production cycles.
