Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced MIG & TIG Welder/Fabricator for their Cannock workshop. You will weld, fabricate and assemble sheet metal components to exacting standards from engineering drawings.

The role requires reading complex drawings, working with multiple materials, and maintaining high quality. It offers a competitive hourly rate with overtime opportunities in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as MIG & TIG Welder/Fabricator in manufacturing or sheet metal environments.
• Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings independently.
• Comfort working with varied materials and thicknesses.
• Coding/qualifications or time-served experience are advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-standard MIG and TIG welding on sheet metal and structural components.
• Read, interpret, and work from complex fabrication drawings.
• Fabricate components from scratch including marking out, cutting, bending and assembling.
• Work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Inspect welds and finished products to ensure quality and tolerance requirements.
• Operate workshop machinery to support fabrication processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace.
