Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an on-site Manufacturing Technician in Edinburgh to support high-precision micro-assembly in a controlled environment. This contract runs initially until 31 March 2027 with a 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern.

You will assemble and inspect tiny components using automated machinery and hand tools, maintaining strict cleanroom discipline and following SOPs to ensure quality. SC clearance and inside IR35 apply, with day/night shift allowances.

Qualifications

• Fine motor skills and steady hands required.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination for tiny components.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Experience in precision manufacturing, micro-assembly or electronics.
• Experience working in a cleanroom or controlled environment.
• Familiarity with precision hand tools and micro-assembly equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble high-precision components using automated machines, hand tools, tweezers, microscopes, or magnification systems.
• Experience with Auto Assembly machines (MRSI) and/or gold wire auto bonding machines (HESSE, Palomar, K&S).
• Perform fine alignment, fitting, and adjustment of components.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections for defects not detected by automation.
• Follow exact work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain cleanroom discipline and controlled environment as required.
• Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve precision-related issues.
