GE Vernova in the United Kingdom seeks a technically minded Engineering Technician to join its manufacturing team. You will perform mechanical fitting, sub-assembly preparation and measurement to support testing and delivery of our electrical machines.

You will read engineering drawings, work to tight tolerances, maintain 5S and EHS standards, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to meet production targets.

Formación

• Experience in mechanical and electrical fitting in a manufacturing/engineering setting.
• Ability to read and work accurately from drawings and schematics.
• Understanding of geometric tolerances and drawing symbols.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, bore micrometers, DTI).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain quality records.
• Right to Work in the UK.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out mechanical fitting and assemble machines for test.
• Prepare and assemble sub-assemblies including terminal boxes and frames.
• Measure components to tight tolerances using precision equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings to ensure correct assembly.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow EHS procedures.
• Document quality records accurately and support continuous improvement.
