Job summary
Euro-projects Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to review upcoming projects and identify the best production techniques within a precision engineering and sheet metal environment. The role involves transitioning from shop floor to office-driven work, with exposure to CAD/CAM and various manufacturing methods.
You will support production by identifying and implementing new processes, undertaking CAD work (2D/3D), reviewing orders and drawings, and coordinating subcontract
Qualifications
- Review upcoming projects and identify best production techniques.
- Identify and implement new processes to support production.
- Experience using CAD systems and comfortable with engineering drawings.
- Background in precision engineering or sheet metal fabrication.
- Apprentice-trained background or engineering qualification preferred.
Responsibilities
- CAD work 2D & 3D (AutoCAD, Fusion).
- Review orders, drawings, specifications and delivery dates.
- Create works orders and manufacturing routes within ERP.
- Identify sequence of operations (laser cutting, forming, welding, machining, finishing, inspection).
- Coordinate subcontract processes such as heat treatment, plating, or specialist testing.
- Support contract review, new product introduction, and first-off production.
