Job summary

Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for a precision engineering and sheet metal environment near Nottingham. The role focuses on reviewing upcoming projects to identify the best production techniques and improve processes, with CAD/CAM involvement and exposure to NPI.

You will work on CAD work (2D/3D AutoCAD, Fusion), select tooling and fixtures, review orders and drawings, create works orders and routes in the ERP, and coordinate subcontract processes while

Qualifications

• Experience using CAD systems and comfortable working with engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of production techniques in precision engineering / sheet metal fabrication.
• Apprentice trained background or relevant engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• CAD work in 2D and 3D (AutoCAD, Fusion).
• Resolve technical problems found during manufacture.
• Select tooling, fixtures, bend allowances, and manufacturing methods.
• Review customer orders, drawings, specifications, and delivery dates.
• Create works orders and manufacturing routes within the ERP system.
• Identify the correct sequence of operations (laser cutting, forming, welding, machining, finishing, inspection).
• Calculate or confirm setup and operation times.
• Issue job packs with drawings, route cards and specs.
• Coordinate subcontract processes such as heat treatment or plating.
• Support contract review, new product introduction, and first-off production.
