Job summary

You will set and operate toolroom measuring equipment, ensuring availability of correct tools for tasks and repairs, and you’ll work as a proactive, flexible team member, with opportunities to train in other disciplines when required.

Qualifications

• Time served toolmaker or equivalent qualifications (e.g., City and Guilds, NVQ level 3, HNC).
• Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to work with colleagues and external contacts at all levels.
• Manual turning or milling experience; able to work to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Operate conventional machines.
• Operate horizontal boring machine.
• Set and operate all Toolroom measuring equipment.
• Ensure tools and equipment are available for tasks and repairs.
• Be proactive and flexible, train in other disciplines when required.
