• Significant experience as a machinist in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience setting and operating conventional centre lathes, milling machines and grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understanding of tolerances and precision measurement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional centre lathes, milling machines and grinding machines.
• Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings.
• Work to tight tolerances and surface finishes.
• Perform dimensional inspections and quality checks on finished components.
• Use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges).
• Maintain equipment, tooling and a clean, safe workspace.
• Work independently and take responsibility for your own work quality.
