Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking two experienced Laser Cutting Operators in Nottingham for a permanent, 40-hour-per-week role. You will set up and run laser cutting machines, ensuring components meet strict specifications and quality standards.

The job requires reading engineering drawings, using precision measuring tools, and contributing to continuous improvement. Experience with CNC laser cutting equipment and sheet metal manufacturing is advantageous; a shift allowance is included in pay.

Qualifications

Experience operating laser cutting machinery in a manufacturing setting.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
Experience using verniers, micrometers, gauges or similar measuring tools.
Strong eye for detail and commitment to high quality output.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate and monitor laser cutting machines to meet production schedules.
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
Carry out machine adjustments and tooling changes where required.
Inspect finished components using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
Complete production paperwork accurately and maintain manufacturing records.
Monitor machine performance and report any fault or production issues.
Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance.
Contribute ideas to improve productivity, quality and manufacturing processes.
