Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking two experienced Laser Cutting Operators in Nottingham for a permanent, 40-hour-per-week role. You will set up and run laser cutting machines, ensuring components meet strict specifications and quality standards.

The job requires reading engineering drawings, using precision measuring tools, and contributing to continuous improvement. Experience with CNC laser cutting equipment and sheet metal manufacturing is advantageous; a shift allowance is included in pay.

Qualifications

• Experience operating laser cutting machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Experience using verniers, micrometers, gauges or similar measuring tools.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to high quality output.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and monitor laser cutting machines to meet production schedules.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Carry out machine adjustments and tooling changes where required.
• Inspect finished components using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
• Complete production paperwork accurately and maintain manufacturing records.
• Monitor machine performance and report any fault or production issues.
• Carry out routine machine checks and basic preventative maintenance.
• Contribute ideas to improve productivity, quality and manufacturing processes.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay: A GBP 15 : A GBP 17 per hour (including shift allowance)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for 2 experienced Laser Cutting Operators to join our clients well established business in Nottingham. This role is ideal for someone with abackground in precision manufacturing who enjoys working in a fast paced production environment and takes pride in producing high:quality work.

You will be responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machinery, producing components to specification and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery within a manufacturing environment
• The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience using a range of measuring equipment for quality drawings
• Experience using a range of measuring equipment for quality inspectionA strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high quality work

Experience with CNC laser cutting equipment, knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing, FLT license or overhead crane experience or exposure to Lean Manufacturing would all be highly advantageous.
