Job summary

Symphony Group PLC is seeking a Kitchen Fitter for an on-site, full-time role based in Cambridge. You will install fitted kitchen units, worktops, fixtures and appliances in line with design plans and manufacturer specifications.

You will read technical drawings, liaise with site managers and other trades, and ensure health and safety compliance while maintaining high standards of workmanship throughout projects.

Qualifications

• Strong practical skills in carpentry, joinery, or cabinet installation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and measurements accurately.
• Competence using hand and power tools safely.
• Knowledge of on-site health and safety practices.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Effective communication with site managers, clients, and colleagues.
• Good physical stamina and manual dexterity for lifting and long days.
• Experience in construction or kitchen fitting; apprenticeship or trade qualification is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Cambridge sites.

Responsibilities

• Install fitted kitchen units, worktops, fixtures, and appliances following design plans and manufacturer specs.
• Measure, cut, and fit components; assemble and secure units; fit sinks and hardware.
• Read technical drawings and coordinate with site supervisors and other trades.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with health & safety regulations.
