Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking a hands-on Inspection Technician to join an established manufacturing environment in Crewe. You will perform dimensional inspections using precision measurement equipment and interpret engineering drawings to ensure components meet exact specifications.

The role focuses on practical inspection in a workshop setting, working with micrometers, verniers, CMMs and other precision tools. A background in machining or metrology is preferred.

Qualifications

• Practical, workshop-based role in an engineering environment.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment and technical drawings preferred.
• Ability to carry out dimensional inspections to tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Carry out accurate dimensional inspection of manufactured components.
• Use precision measuring equipment listed above to verify components.
• Interpret drawings, tolerances and work instructions.
• Perform first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Record results and maintain traceability documentation.
• Identify defects and support resolution of manufacturing issues.
• Assist with inspections of coated/subcontracted components.
