Job summary

Mike Collins Recruitment Services is recruiting a Hot Forge Operator for a busy client in Halesowen. The role involves operating hot forging machines, heating and shaping metals, and applying hardening/ tempering methods to ensure durable products.

You will read blueprints, inspect finished work for quality, perform daily maintenance, and follow safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe environment. Hours are Mon-Thu 7am-4pm, plus Friday 12pm finish; salary starts at £17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hot forging
• Skilled in using hand tools and industrial machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Understanding forging techniques
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Physical stamina and strength for handling heavy materials
• Good hand-eye coordination and precision

Responsibilities

• Operating hot forging machines and equipment, furnaces, and press equipment
• Following technical drawings you will be heating and shaping metals to high temperatures using industrial furnaces and pressing techniques
• Apply hardening and tempering methods to enhance strength and durability
• Quality Inspecting finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
• Also required to carry out daily maintenance and safety checks
• Follow health and Safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
