Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking an experienced Guillotine Operator for a print finishing role in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will set up, program and operate programmable guillotines to accurately cut and trim printed materials, ensuring high quality and minimal waste.

Responsibilities include reading job bags and layouts, checking finished products, performing basic blade changes, handling stocks, and preparing pallets for dispatch.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience operating a guillotine in a commercial print environment.
• Good understanding of print finishing processes and cutting specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills.
• Ability to work at pace and meet production deadlines.
• Physically fit, with the ability to stand for long periods and handle paper stocks.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate programmable guillotines.
• Accurately cut and trim printed materials to job specifications.
• Read job bags, cutting instructions and print layouts.
• Check finished products for quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and blade changes safely.
• Handle paper stocks, stack finished products and prepare pallets for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and safe working enviroment.
