The role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and collaboration with engineering and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control or inspection role, preferably in mechanical inspection or goods-in processes within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using mechanical inspection tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometres, height gauges).
• Attention to detail with a focus on ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
• Problem-solving: identify defects, discrepancies, and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communication: report findings clearly and collaborate with team members and suppliers.
• Team Player: work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Goods-in Inspector: Book in, inspect and verify incoming goods, materials, and components against specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• Goods-in Inspector: Ensure correct quality standards, part numbers, and certifications are in place.
• Goods-in Inspector: Identify and report discrepancies or non-conformities with received items.
• Goods-in Inspector: Maintain accurate records and support inventory and logistics to resolve quality issues.
• Mechanical Inspector: Perform detailed inspections of mechanical components and assemblies using precision measurement tools.
• Mechanical Inspector: Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure components meet tolerances and design standards.
• Mechanical Inspector: Measure mechanical parts to confirm functionality and safety criteria.
• Mechanical Inspector: Document inspection results, report non-conformances, and support corrective actions.
• Mechanical Inspector: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
